The year is 2024 and that means it's an Election Year!
While many are focused on the presidential election, the Town of Fleming will also have a local election that will be taking place this November. Three spots on the Fleming Town Council will be opening in November 2024 and now is the time to start considering how you can make a more practical change in your community. Being a part of the Fleming Town Council is a chance to help make Fleming a great place to live, work, and go to school, and it is the best way to get involved in helping make changes and decisions that can improve the lives of many.
There will be three trustee seats available on the Fleming Town Council. Any registered elector eighteen years of age or older and has resided in Fleming for at least twelve consecutive months may run for the town council position. Therefore, if you've registered to vote in Colorado, are 18 or older, and have lived in Fleming for a year- you can put it in a nomination petition to be on the November ballot!
The first day to circulate a nomination petition is August 6th. Petitions can be picked up and dropped off at the Town Hall during regular business hours. The last day to circulate and file a nomination petition is August 26, 2024. So be sure to bring your filled-out nomination petition to the Town office by then.
If you want to make a difference in our community and be a part of Fleming history, then consider joining this year's ballot for the Town Council. Meetings are once a month, every second Wednesday at 6:30 PM with occasional extra meetings and opportunities to serve the community through various events. The term lasts for four years, during which you will get to know other dedicated residents who will serve on the Council alongside you in helping Fleming.
Consider making a difference in our town by joining the election for a chance to become a member of the Fleming Town Council!
